Arkadi Vlaziev was born in Bryansk and studied at the Kharkov Art institute until 1963. He worked and lived in Kursk. Vlaziev was ahead of his time by using bright colors and painted in an impressionistic style that differed substantially from the classical social realism that was dominant at the time. For this, he wasn’t granted membership of the Union of Artists. His colleagues acknowledged he was a true master in his own right.
